Medical and scientific publisher Informa Healthcare has announced that Dr. Dimitri P. Mikhailidis has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of its first open-access journal, the Journal of Drug Assessment (JDA). The journal is due to launch this autumn.
Dr. Mikhailidis currently holds the position of Reader and Academic Head in the Department of Clinical Biochemistry at the Royal Free Hospital and University College Medical School in London. He brings with him over 10 years of experience as Editor-in-Chief of CMRO, as well as vast credentials as a well-published and highly cited author. He will continue to serve as Editor-in-Chief for a portfolio of Informa Healthcare clinical trial journals, including CMRO, Expert Opinion on Pharmacotherapy and Expert Opinion on Investigational Drugs.
JDA is an online-only, peer-reviewed journal focused on the rapid publication of specialised interest research, including null and negative clinical trial results, as well as incomplete or discontinued trial data. Informa Healthcare is launching JDA in response to changing regulatory requirements for publishing clinical trial results. The journal will join the Journal of Medical Economics (JME) in the Current Medical Research & Opinion (CMRO) journal series.
