Journal Fibrogenesis & Tissue Repair, published by open access publisher BioMed Central, has announced the appointment of Prof. Ian Dixon as a new Section Editor for Cardiovascular Diseases. Dixon will join the four current Section Editors in helping to promote the journal and will oversee some of the journal's peer review processes.
Dixon is a Professor of Physiology at the University of Manitoba, and Principal Investigator of Molecular Cardiology at the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, St. Boniface Research Centre.
Fibrogenesis & Tissue Repair is an open access, peer-reviewed online journal featuring high-quality studies providing novel insights into the mechanisms, diagnosis and treatment of human diseases characterized by chronic wound healing and fibrogenesis. The journal aims to help fill the gap in communication that exists between scientists working in different subspecialties of experimental and clinical medicine and to allow them to rapidly exchange ideas and work on common targets.
