ARL publishes latest issue of Synergy: News from ARL Diversity Programs -

The Association of Research Libraries (ARL) has published issue 9 of Synergy: News from ARL Diversity Programs. The newsletter provides an opportunity for former ARL diversity programme participants to share information about key issues and emerging trends in the workplace.

In this issue, Eugenia Kim, 2010 ARL CEP Fellow, recounts her experience working as an intern, providing support for the Data Curation Profiles (DCP) project led by the Purdue University Libraries.

Kiyomi Deards, a 2009 ARL Diversity Scholar, provides an update on ARL efforts to recruit students from diverse backgrounds into science and technology roles in academic and research libraries.

Additionally, former LCDP Fellow, Steve Adams, discusses a relatively new but important area of practice and inquiry - the Science of Team Science - and how librarians can and should insinuate themselves into the research process and be vital members of scientific research teams.

Synergy: News from ARL Diversity Programs, Issue 9, July 2012, is freely available on the ARL website at http://www.arl.org/bm~doc/synergy-issue-9.pdf.
