STM publishing company SLACK Incorporated, US, has announced the appointment of Dr. Janis P. Bellack as the Editor of the Journal of Nursing Education. Dr. Bellack will be responsible for the overall quality, integrity, and content of the Journal to ensure it continues to publish peer-reviewed original articles and new ideas for nurse educators and enhance the teaching-learning process, promote curriculum development, and stimulate creative innovation and research in nursing education.
Dr. Bellack is currently President and John Hilton Knowles Professor at the MGH Institute of Health Professions, Boston, Massachusetts. Previously in her career she has held faculty appointments in undergraduate and graduate nursing programs at the University of Virginia, Old Dominion University, University of Kentucky, and Medical University of South Carolina.
The Journal of Nursing Education is the premier Journal for research in nursing education and includes research briefs, educational innovations, and syllabus selections. The Journal, now in its 51st year of publication, is available online at www.healio.com/jne.
Dr. Bellack has named Karen Morin as Associate Editor of the Journal. Dr. Morin is Graduate Programs Director and Professor, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, College of Nursing, and long-time editorial board member of the Journal.
