The American Academy of Neurology has announced the launch of a new medical journal - Neurology Clinical Practice. The journal is projected to help doctors best treat the one in six people worldwide who have neurologic disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy or stroke.
Neurology: Clinical Practice will feature best practices, discussions of evidence-based research and articles on topics that directly affect practicing neurologists. The first issue of the journal will be followed by four issues publishing in 2012 and six issues slated for publication in 2013. It will also be available online and for the iPad. Dr. John R. Corboy, a professor of neurology at the University of Colorado-Denver and co-director of the Rocky Mountain Multiple Sclerosis Center at Anschutz Medical Campus in Denver, will serve as the Editor of the journal.
American Academy of Neurology members will receive Neurology: Clinical Practice free of charge, bundled with selected issues of Neurology, as a benefit of their membership.
Neurology: Clinical Practice will be published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins.
