American Psychiatric Association (APA) has announced that its new Psychiatric News Alert presents the latest advances in psychiatry linked to valuable resources for further information from the APA. The new service seeks to reinforce the role of Psychiatric News, the APA's flagship newspaper, as the voice of the specialty.
This new twice-daily news alert is available from American Psychiatric Publishing, Inc., a division of the APA, at no cost and can be received via e-mail or via RSS feeds. The alert is intended to provide the latest news that impacts psychiatrists, patients, and others interested in mental health issues. Each day, the writers of Psychiatric News (http://pn.psychiatryonline.org/) post brief news items and provide links to relevant information in Psychiatric News or other APA informational sources.
Psychiatric News Alert reports breaking news on topics such as clinical psychiatry, psychiatric research, legislative and regulatory updates, health policy, APA advocacy initiatives, and lifelong learning. It also highlights major findings reported in APA's leading periodicals, the American Journal of Psychiatry and Psychiatric Services.
