The American Physical Society (APS) recently presented the current Editorial Board for the Society's new, electronic-only, gold open access, primary research journal - Physical Review X.
The Editorial Board will assist in setting the standards of the journal and advise the editors regarding its direction and development. Members of the Board will also handle appeals in the tradition of the Physical Review journals. Editorial Board members of Physical Review X include many distinguished scientists from across the globe and from a very broad range of fields of physics and its applications.
The Society has also announced that the journal will begin receiving submissions of research articles starting May 4, 2011. The scope of the journal will be the broadest among the Physical Review journals, encompassing, and expanding beyond, the areas of coverage of all the existing Physical Review journals. The criteria for acceptance will be originality, high technical quality, scientific rigor, and significance, in keeping with the high standards of the established journals.
