SNM names new Editor-in-Chief for The Journal of Nuclear Medicine -

Scientific and medical organisation SNM-Advancing Molecular Imaging and Therapy has announced the appointment of Dr. Dominique Delbeke as the editor-in-chief for The Journal of Nuclear Medicine (JNM). Her appointment for the 2012-2016 term was confirmed by the SNM House of Delegates at the society's Mid-Winter Meeting.

Delbeke is professor and director of nuclear medicine and positron emission tomography in the Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. She also serves as a consultant to the Veteran Administration of the Tennessee Valley. Delbeke has published more than 120 peer-reviewed journal articles and is the author of five books and nearly 70 book chapters.

Prior to assuming the editor-in-chief position, Delbeke will work with current editor-in-chief, Dr. Heinrich Schelbert, during a transition period that will begin in July 2011. Delbeke will identify associate and consulting editors for JNM during this time.
