European Journal of Echocardiography announces name change and focus -

The European Journal of Echocardiography is changing its name to European Heart Journal – Cardiovascular Imaging. The journal is also broadening its focus to include all areas of cardiovascular imaging. The first issue of the journal with the new name will publish in 2012.

The journal will move from a technique-driven approach toward a patient and problem driven approach. It will accept submissions from all areas of cardiovascular imaging, including echocardiography, magnetic resonance, computed tomography, nuclear, and invasive imaging. The journal aims to publish quality research in a range of formats. These include original research articles, reviews, case reports, editorials, image focus, letters, and recommendation papers from relevant groups of the European Society of Cardiology.

European Heart Journal – Cardiovascular Imaging is a monthly, international, peer-reviewed journal of the European Society of Cardiology. Its editorial team includes Senior Associate Editors and editorial board members from the European Association of Echocardiography, the Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance working group, and the Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT working group.
