O'Reilly Media, Inc. and UBM TechWeb, co-producers of Web 2.0 Expo and Web 2.0 Summit, have released six new additions to the lineup at this year's Web 2.0 Summit. The Web 2.0 Summit brings together a powerful assembly of senior executives and entrepreneurial innovators, as well as technologists, financiers, analysts and pundits to discuss this year's theme 'Points of Control: The Battle for the Network Economy'.
Program Chair, John Battelle of Federated Media, and O'Reilly CEO and founder, Tim O'Reilly, will be moderating this year's event, scheduled for November 15-17 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. The list of industry leaders speaking at Web 2.0 Summit will grow as the event nears. New additions include Peter Chernin, Chernin Entertainment and The Chernin Group; John Doerr, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers; Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, Nokia Corporation; Vinod Khosla, Khosla Ventures; Michael Rubin, GSI Commerce; and Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook.
In its seventh year, the event will investigate a new dynamic based on shifting points of control in a corporate battle to rule the Internet Economy. The Web 2.0 Summit program will feature companies and speakers who are creating the shift and moving into new fields of battle, mapping strategic inflection points and identifying key players who are fighting to control the services and infrastructure of a Web Squared world.
Attendance at Web 2.0 Summit is limited to maintain an intimate setting and foster dialog among participants. General attendee registration is by invitation only; interested parties may request an invitation at http://web2summit.com.
