The Australian Journal of Physiotherapy has announced that it will change its name to Journal of Physiotherapy, starting with Vol 56 No 1 March 2010. The journal is the official journal of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
The journal also announced the appointment of Dr Mark Elkins as Scientific Editor, effective January 1, 2010. Dr Elkins is already a member on the journal's Editorial Board, and is Senior Research Physiotherapist, Department of Respiratory Medicine, Royal Prince Alred Hospital, Sydney.
First published in 1954, the Journal of Physiotherapy ranks 8 among 28 journals in Rehabilitation, and 14 among 71 journals in Sports Sciences. More than half the submissions and papers published are sourced from international academics.
