Healthcare information provider Wolters Kluwer Health (WK Health), US, has announced the appointment of Susan Driscoll to the position of President and CEO of Wolters Kluwer Health, Professional & Education, effective June 1, 2010. She succeeds Gordon Macomber, current President and CEO, Wolters Kluwer Health, Professional & Education, and will report directly to Bob Becker, President & CEO of Wolters Kluwer Health & Pharma Solutions.
Driscoll has 30 years of experience in academic and trade publishing. She is currently Executive Vice President & General Manager, Professional & Education. In her past two years with Wolters Kluwer Health as Executive Vice President & General Manager, Professional & Education, she has successfully led the transformation of the Professional & Education sales, marketing and editorial functions to an electronic orientation.
Prior to joining Wolters Kluwer Health, Driscoll was Vice President, Strategy for Author Solutions, Inc., a technology-driven print-on-demand and publishing solutions provider. She has also held senior management roles at HarperCollins and Holt, Rinehart & Winston. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame, and currently serves on the Advisory Council to the Snite Museum of Art at Notre Dame.
