Academic and professional literature publisher Emerald Group Publishing Ltd., UK, has announced the 2012 launch of the South Asian Journal of Global Business Research, further strengthening its publishing output in South Asia. The new publication will be the first international journal focusing exclusively on the world's most populous region and one of the fastest growing regional economies.
Edited by Dr. Shaista E. Khilji of George Washington University, Washington DC, USA, the journal will be devoted to advancing theoretical and empirical knowledge of business and management issues facing multi-national and local organisations within South Asia. The journal is supported by the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS), which is based at the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) in Islamabad.
South Asian Journal of Global Business Research will join Emerald's International Business portfolio, complimenting other recent launches in the region - the Journal of Indian Business Research and the Journal of Asia Business Studies.
The journal will be launched at the 2nd South Asian International Conference (SAICON), scheduled to be held in Islamabad, Pakistan, from July 21-23, 2010.
