Information infrastructure software provider Mark Logic Corporation, US, has announced that it will host a webinar to explore what state governments can do to increase public access to healthcare information before new federal guidelines go into effect in 2011.
John Dodd, fellow, Enterprise Architecture and Health IT Service Solution Architecture, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), and Will LaForest, principal consultant, MarkLogic, will present "Optimizing the Continuity of Care Document (CCD) 'As Is' to Improve State Healthcare at Lower Costs". The webinar will explore how breakthrough technologies give governments, practitioners, and providers the ability to improve patient outcomes and lower healthcare costs with the data they already have. The event is scheduled for July 28, at 11:00 a.m. (PT)/ 2:00 p.m. (ET).
Based on his work advising the Center for Medicaid Systems, the National Institutes of Health, the Center for Disease Control and others, Dodd will discuss the opportunity new technology provides to link governments and providers. LaForest will demonstrate how state governments can use technology to better integrate information from various data sources, perform analysis of the information 'as is', and ensure HIPAA compliance through robust security mechanisms.
