Wiley-Blackwell, the STM and scholarly business of publisher John Wiley & Sons, Inc., US, has announced the launch of the first mobile application in the Clinical Cases Uncovered series, accessible via iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
The Clinical Cases Uncovered series presents each case as it would be in clinical practice, so students can rehearse for life on the wards with these easy-to-use, walkthrough scenarios.
The first app from the series, which is freely available, includes access to the basic science of hematology and recommendations on how to approach a patient, including the first clinical case. There are 22 additional cases available separately as in-app purchases. Each case comes with its own self-assessment questions to test learning, understanding, and investigative skills.
