STM publisher Elsevier, Netherlands, has announced the publication of the first issue of the journal Practical Radiation Oncology (PRO) on behalf of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO).
Under the guidance of Editor-in-Chief Dr. W. Robert Lee, PRO aims to improve the quality of radiation oncology practice. The journal will provide background for those in training and continuing education for practitioners, through discussion and illustration of new techniques and evaluation of current practices.
PRO will complement ASTRO’s other official journal, the International Journal of Radiation Oncology∙Biology∙Physics (the Red Journal). While the Red Journal will continue to describe new discoveries in the field, PRO will provide a context on such discoveries for its readers, and immediately usable information. The journal will be distributed to ASTRO members as a benefit of membership, along with the Red Journal.
