Elsevier and JST announce new deal to automate indexing of 90 journals in SciVerse Scopus -

STM publisher Elsevier, Netherlands, and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) have announced a new agreement for the automated delivery of the metadata of 90 J-STAGE journals in SciVerse Scopus.

JST has been utilising Scopus custom data to analyse scientific research in Japan at a national level. The indexing of J-STAGE journals in SciVerse Scopus builds upon Elsevier’s existing cooperation with JST and will extend further exposure to the research published within those titles to the global academic community. Metadata from J-STAGE will continuously and automatically be indexed within SciVerse Scopus with immediate effect.

J-STAGE was developed in 1999 to encourage Japanese research societies to publish their academic journals electronically on a central platform. As the world’s largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature, SciVerse Scopus magnifies the mission of J-STAGE to disseminate published research within those journals at a targeted, global level.
