Dr. Frans de Waal named Editor-in-Chief of Brill journal Behaviour -

Dutch academic publisher Brill has announced the appointment of Dr. Frans de Waal as Editor-in-Chief of the journal Behaviour, effective March 1, 2011.

Dr. De Waal will lead this long established journal devoted to behavioral biology, which was co-founded by Nobel Prize winner Niko Tinbergen in 1949.

Dr. Frans B. M. de Waal is a Dutch primatologist and ethologist. He is the Charles Howard Candler professor of Primate Behavior in the psychology department of Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia, and director of the Living Links Center at the Yerkes National Primate Research Center. His research centers on primate social behaviour, including conflict resolution, cooperation, inequity aversion, and food-sharing.
