The Frankfurt Academy has announced that CONTEC Brazil will return with a focus on the theme 'Different Ways of Teaching' on August 30. The conference, which was launched last year by the Frankfurt Academy – the international conference brand of the Frankfurt Book Fair – will highlight education, technology, and content in different formats and media. It is part of the Frankfurt Book Fair's programme at the Bienal do Livro Rio (29.8.-8.9.2013), where Germany is the Guest of Honour country this year.
Conference topics will include ways to attract new readers, new tools for education and literacy, children's and young adult literature, and best practices in learning and digital content platforms. Presentations will also address new technologies in the classroom, teacher training and methods for working with digital media and social networks.
CONTEC Brazil will take place on August 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Rachel de Queiroz auditorium in Rio de Janeiro as part of the Bienal Internacional do Livro.
Launched last year in São Paulo by the Frankfurt Academy in cooperation with LitCam, CONTEC will be expanding its borders beyond Brazil to become a worldwide event in 2013. Kicking it off will be CONTEC Frankfurt, which will be held this year for the first time on October 8 in the run-up to the Frankfurt Book Fair.
