Information services provider McGraw-Hill Companies, US, has announced the appointment of John Berisford to executive vice president, Human Resources, effective January 3, 2011.
In his new position, Berisford will be responsible for leading critical initiatives to continually engage and develop employees and ensure The McGraw-Hill Companies has the talent to succeed in the knowledge economy.
Berisford succeeds David Murphy who is retiring after eight years with the Corporation. Murphy will support a smooth leadership transition by remaining with the Corporation and acting as HR Advisor until the end of February.
