Winners of 2013 Emerald/University of Chinese Academy of Sciences Case Writing competition announced -

Academic publisher Emerald Group Publishing Limited, UK, has announced the results of the first Emerald/University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) Case Writing Competition. Applicants were asked to submit a China-Focused teaching case based in business and management.

The winning paper is entitled ‘A New Business Model to Chinese Style Agricultural Industrialization’ and was written by Zheng Wang of the University of Texas, and Guiping Lin of Peking University, HSBC Business School.

The winning authors will receive a prize of $1,500 and publication in Emerald's Emerging Markets Case Studies (EEMCS) - a peer-reviewed collection focusing on business decision making and management development throughout key global emerging markets.

The competition is the first time that Emerald and UCAS have partnered together to encourage case writing in China. Due to the success of this year's competition, the competition will be offered again in 2014. Submissions on China-focused business case studies are welcome for publication in the meantime.
