BMJ Learning, the medical education division of the BMJ Group, UK, has appointed Dr Sangeeta Dhawan as Clinical Editor in India. Dr Dhawan will be based in the BMJ Group's office in New Delhi and be responsible for a wide range of medical education courses and materials aimed at improving the professional development of Indian doctors.
Her responsibilities include the development of BMJ Master classes and video conferences as well as commissioning and editing medical education modules for the medical profession in India.
During her career she has been actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate education and examinations both in the UK and abroad. In the UK, Dr Dhawan contributed to the development of medical education at the Hull York Medical School. For the last 25 years she has also been actively involved in training, teaching and examining medical students from various renowned universities including Manchester, Sheffield and Hull/York in the UK and Gulf Medical School in the Middle East.
