STM publisher Thieme recently announced the launch of the Complete Human Brain iPad app.
Building on Dr. Wieslaw Nowinski's pioneering digital atlas, The Human Brain in 1969 Pieces, this sophisticated 3-D app has a simple touchscreen interface that facilitates the learning of neuroanatomy by allowing clinicians, educators, students, and researchers to explore a fully segmented and labelled virtual brain from every angle, including axial, coronal, and sagittal MR planes. Users can easily add, remove, or overlap brain structures, and the self-testing feature helps them quickly find out how much they've learned.
