Knovel launches new subject area - Process Design, Control and Automation -

Knovel, a Web-based application integrating technical information with analytical and search tools, has announced the launch of a new subject area - Process Design, Control and Automation - bringing the total number of areas offered to 24. Developed to help process and control engineers increase efficiency through better design and control of industrial scale processes, Knovel's Process Design, Control and Automation includes best practices for selecting, sizing and integrating instrumentation.

Engineers need reliable access to best practices and basic know-how from unbiased sources to corroborate information from control technology manufacturers. This is particularly useful as engineers seek modeling methods and techniques to evaluate systems with different or possibly unknown parameters.

Process Design, Control and Automation launches with 65 reference titles from notable societies and publishers including the International Society of Automation, Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, Cambridge University Press, Gulf Publishing, Industrial Press, Wiley and others. Sub-topics in this subject area include automation; control systems; control theory and optimization; process data management and security; process modeling and simulation; and sensors and instrumentation for control and measurement.
