Academic and professional publisher SAGE has announced that the Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) Part P-Journal of Sports Engineering and Technology and Part O-Journal of Risk and Reliability have been accepted for coverage in the Thomson Reuters Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and Science Citation Index for 2011. Part O-Journal of Risk and Reliability has also been chosen to be included in Thomson Reuters Current Contents /Engineering Computing and Technology.
There are 16 journals in the Proceedings of the IMechE, 15 of which are now indexed by Thomson Reuters. First published in 1847, Proceedings are projected as an essential resource for engineering researchers, with titles which span from power and energy to sports technology. Part O and Part P will both receive their first Impact Factors in June 2012.
The Journal of Sports Engineering and Technology - Part P claims to be the publication of choice for authors seeking to disseminate original research findings related to the development or application of technology in sports. High quality output from engineering focused research activity is presented where the objective of the work undertaken was to enhance user performance (fitness, skill, comfort, etc.), reduce incidence and severity of injury, increase participation rates, promote participation, or enhance the spectator experience.
The Journal of Risk and Reliability - Part O is for researchers and practitioners who are involved in the field of risk analysis and reliability engineering. The journal publishes high quality papers covering all practical issues associated with the safe and reliable design and operation of engineering systems from any industrial sector.
