AIP Advances publishes first articles -

AIP Publishing, a division of the American Institute of Physics (AIP), has announced that the first articles in the debut issue of its new journal, AIP Advances, are now published online. AIP Advances is an open access (OA) journal focusing on applied research in the physical sciences.

The journal combines a streamlined review process with post-publication commenting tools to strike a balance between expert peer review and the need for rapid dissemination of information and comment from the community. It will allow articles to rise to prominence on their own merits, putting these articles at the heart of conversations taking place in science today. All articles are published under a Creative Commons license-authors retain copyright.

An impressive group of executive editors oversees AIP Advances. Among them are: Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and a Packard and Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow.
