IEEE webinar to provide an inside view of Engineering for Change -

Iana Aranda, Manager of Technical Programming and Development at ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), will present ‘Leveraging the Power of Engineers ... Engineering for Change’ as part of the IEEE Humanitarian Technology Webinar Series. This free webinar will take place on August 16, 2011, at 10 am EDT (GMT-4).

Launched earlier this year, Engineering for Change (E4C) is a global alliance that encourages collaboration and facilitates the development of engineering solutions to improve quality of life in under-served communities worldwide. IEEE, along with ASME and Engineers Without Borders, are founding partners of the active online community, which recently reached the 5,000-member mark.

Aranda has guided the development of E4C’s online platform and driven content-related partnerships with global technical societies, non-governmental organisations and other organisations at the intersection of technology, design and international development.
