Engineering resources provider Knovel, US, has announced the launch of Mining Engineering and Extractive Metallurgy as a new subject. Knovel's Mining Engineering and Extractive Metallurgy subject area supports engineers involved in mining engineering, extractive metallurgy as well as affiliated engineers working in design and construction and for equipment manufacturers.
The new subject will provide must-have guidance on managing critical health and safety issues, practical information on improving mineral processing efficiency and ways to maximise the value of extraction efforts. Mining Engineering and Extractive Metallurgy launches with 68 titles from notable societies and publishers including the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME), Elsevier, CDC NIOSH, US EPA, Wiley, International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM), and others.
The collection, which includes SME's 'Mining Engineering Handbook 3rd Edition' and SME's 'Mining Reference Handbook,' will offer more than 100 titles by the end of Q3 2011. Topics in this collection include Economic Geology; Exploration and Geophysics; Health and Safety; Mine Design and Construction; Mineral Processing and Extractive Metallurgy; Operations and Management; and Sustainability and Environment.
