New American Chemical Society report to pioneer economic growth and new jobs -

The American Chemical Society (ACS) task force members and Denver leaders will discuss critical steps to creating economic growth and jobs based on recommendations in a landmark report to be released on August 29, 2011.

Innovation, Chemistry, and Jobs details how one of the US's valuable economic sectors – the chemical enterprise – can shift from a historically commodity-based industry to a highly productive engine capitalising on scientific innovations to stimulate powerful economic growth. The report identifies chemical entrepreneurs as uniquely positioned to take high-value innovations and commercialise new products and processes that will greatly stimulate economic productivity.

The American Chemical Society is a non-profit organisation chartered by the US Congress. With more than 163,000 members, ACS claims to be the world's largest scientific society and a global leader in providing access to chemistry-related research through its multiple databases, peer-reviewed journals and scientific conferences.
