Scientific information services provider FIZ Karlsruhe, Germany, has announced that it was recently evaluated by internationally recognised experts. The result of the evaluation shows that FIZ Karlsruhe, a member of the Leibniz-Association, is a reliable and valuable partner for science and industry worldwide.
The Leibniz Association is a prestigious association of research and infrastructure institutes within Germany. On behalf of Germany's Joint Science Conference and the German federal and state governments, every member is required to undergo an objective evaluation, every seven years, concerning the organisation's strategy, organisational strength and culture, operations, and financial strength.
The evaluation is highly respected throughout Europe for its scientific independence and rigorous rules. It was managed by a distinguished international panel, which filed a report with the Leibniz Senate.
Following the advice of the evaluation team, FIZ Karlsruhe will intensify its efforts to be engaged in policy discussions in Germany and on a European level about how to structure support for research in the area of information infrastructure.
