STM publisher Elsevier has announced the launch of Elsevier's EduCode Competency Exams, a series of assessments developed to evaluate staff proficiency, aid in career development and identify appropriate education for employees in healthcare coding and clinical documentation improvement job roles.
Designed to assess individuals' level of knowledge and ability related to coding and documentation, each competency is based on a comprehensive job analysis, with questions written and peer-reviewed by appropriately credentialed subject matter experts. Role appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding and clinical documentation improvement responsibilities are covered.
Key features of Elsevier's EduCode Competency Exams include validated questions, mapped and auto-assigned remedial training, comprehensive learner and management reporting, comparable results presented within easy-to-read graphs and reporting by individual, hospital, region, or system.
