Interactive learning apps developer Modality, Inc., US, and Thieme Medical Publishers, Inc., have announced that Thieme's complete Atlas of Anatomy is now available for In App Purchase via the modalityBODY App.
The modalityBODY App, currently available in the App Store, allows users to view, organise, annotate, search and store thousands of medical images and create custom image collections for study and reference. The modalityBODY App is available for free from the App Store on iPad or at www.itunes.com/appstore.
Thieme's Atlas of Anatomy provides healthcare students and professionals with more than 1500 high quality images with thorough contextual notes. The atlas is organised to lead students step-by-step through each region of the body. Each region opens with the foundational skeletal framework. The subsequent chapters build upon this foundation, adding the muscles, then organs, then vessels, then nerves, and finally presenting topographic anatomy for a comprehensive view. Each unit closes with surface anatomy accompanied by questions that ask the reader to apply knowledge learned for the real-life physical examination of patients.
