Search tools take center stage on Day 2 of the Frankfurt Book Fair -

On the second day of the Frankfurt Book Fair Infotrieve launched MobileLibrary, which allows users from anywhere to access all enterprise licensed e-content and document repositories. Using MobileLibrary, users can seamlessly switch from their iPad to PC or Mac, while automatically synching the user's workplace.

Cosis.net, a social network for scientists, also presented 'geotagging', a new approach to literature research. It supports biologists, archaeologists, geoscientists and other field researchers in interdisciplinary research. The platform developed by Cosis.net allows users to see data from different disciplines in a map at a single glance.

Additionally, Ex-Libris gave a presentation of its discovery and delivery solution, Primo Central. Primo Central enables users to search a library's entire collection - both physical holdings and e-resources - through a single point of access and receive relevance-ranked results. Of particular significance is Primo Central's ability to provide recommendations for further reading at the article level.

Also, Thomson Reuters discussed how to enhance discovery and analysis, in order to make sure that content is easily available and its impact measurable.
