The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) has announced that its Inspec database has reached 12 million records in June 2011. IET Inspec is a bibliographic database in the fields of electronics, physics, computer science and engineering.
This achievement marks a significant milestone - making the Inspec database one of the richest sources for information in its fields. Beyond the outstanding number of article abstracts, the coverage in the database continues to be both timely and robust.
The 12-millionth item to appear is about fuel cells which have possible applications in vehicles and portable electronic devices and was published in the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy.
