Computex Taipei 2011 expected to attract over 120,000 attendees -

Computex Taipei 2011 will run from May 31- June 4, 2011 with five main themes - Tablet PCs, eBooks, Smart Phones, 3D Tech, and Cloud Service. It is expected that more than 35,000 buyers from across the globe will descend on Taipei to participate in Asia's biggest IT trade show. About 1,800 global exhibitors will hopefully supply up to $23 billion in business as a result of the show.

First held in 1981, the show is celebrating its 31st anniversary with vibrant 8 percent growth on the previous year. It is projected to attract over 120,000 attendees, including more than 36,000 international buyers from every corner of the ICT world. It is also the first time that any show has simultaneously used all 5 venues at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1, 2 & 3, plus NANGANG Exhibition Hall, and the Taipei International Convention Center. Two new theme areas namely 'Embedded Technology' and 'Internet of Things' will address the hottest ICT topics with real products and experimental concepts for visitors.

In addition to the big-name domestic firms such as Acer, ASUS, GIGABYTE, HonHai and MSI, the international renowned firms such as AMD, Hitachi, Intel are also exhibiting their cutting-edge technology at COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2011. Around 500 overseas exhibitors from 28 countries and regions are using nearly 1000 booths at the show, including major ICT firms from China such as Hisense and HKC Worldwide Electronic, NANJING WANLIDA, and TP-Link. These international giants are ready to demonstrate their latest breakthroughs.

COMPUTEX TAIPEI has signed another MOU of cooperation, second to the one with IFA, Berlin signed in 2009, with CeBIT earlier this month in Hannover, Germany. This cooperation will strengthen links between the world's top 2 ICT tradeshows to foster growth in the global ICT industry and encourage better business opportunities. The latest MOU benefits the two giants by mutually promoting international trade, exchanges of key information, and consolidates Euro-Asia friendship.
