BISG to co-locate 2014 Making Information Pay Conference with 2014 IDPF Digital Book Conference at BookExpo America -

The Book Industry Study Group (BISG) has announced the co-location of Making Information Pay 2014 with the International Digital Publishing Forum's (IDPF) annual Digital Book conference. The Making Information Pay conference will take place in the afternoon of May 29 as part of the expanded two-day IDPF Digital Book 2014 conference at BookExpo America. Early Bird registration to IDPF Digital Book 2014 is now open at idpf.org/db14 and includes access to the BISG Making Information Pay conference as well as the BEA exhibit hall.

New data confirms the consolidation of consumer preferences in physical and digital book consumption, with significant variation by genre, subject, and demographics. Making Information Pay dissects these shifting patterns with new information from a range of BISG research including BookStats, the Joint Venture between the Book Industry Study Group (BISG) and the Association of American Publishers (AAP) which provides a comprehensive and trendable report on the size and shape of the US book publishing industry.

Analysis from industry leaders adds invaluable perspective. For the past ten years, senior executives in operations, sales, and marketing have attended Making Information Pay for data-first information and essential direction. Previous Making Information Pay conferences have featured a keynote from Hilary Mason, Chief Data Scientist at Bitly and one of Forbes "40 under 40 Ones to Watch;" Kyusik Chung, Vice President of Business Development at Goodreads; and Mike Shatzkin, Founder & CEO, The Idea Logical Company, among many other industry leaders.

The IDPF Digital Book conference is the flagship digital conference at BEA and the longest running digital publishing conference in the industry. The perennially sold-out conference has hosted hundreds of key speakers including bestselling authors Malcolm Gladwell, Bella Andre, Seth Godin, Sylvia Day and more; C-suite experts such as Madeline McIntosh, COO of Penguin Random House, Chantal Restivo-Alessi, CDO of HarperCollins, Jane Friedman, CEO of Open Road Integrated Media, Richard Charkin, Executive Director of Bloomsbury, Otis Chandler, CEO and Founder of Goodreads; as well as leading authorities from Aptara, Apex Content Solutions, Baker and Taylor, Barnes and Noble, Copia, Google, Gutenberg Technology, Ingram, Kobo, McGraw Hill Education, Monotype, O'Reilly Media, OverDrive, SPi Global, and many more. Current Platinum Sponsors of IDPF Digital Book 2014 include Ingram Content Group and SPi Global.
