Neil Spooner appointed Senior Editor of Bioanalysis -

International journal Bioanalysis has announced the appointment of Neil Spooner (GlaxoSmithKline, UK) as a Senior Editor. He replaces Howard Hill (Huntingdon Life Sciences, UK) who is retiring after 5 years' highly valued service. Dr Spooner joins US-based Senior Editor Brian Booth (US FDA, MD, USA).

Bioanalysis addresses the sensitive analytical techniques used for the study of drugs, metabolites and biomarkers in the development of (bio) pharmaceuticals, as well as allied fields including forensics, toxicology and anti-doping. The journal, published by Future Science Ltd and launched in April 2009, is published on a fortnightly basis (24 issues per year) and indexed by Medline® and ISI.

Since its launch in 2009, Bioanalysis has established itself as a leading publication in the field. Since its launch, the journal has increased frequency and has risen to 15/75 Chemistry and Medical journals with an impact factor of 3.253 in 2012. The journal's sister website Bioanalysis Zone (www.bioanalysis-zone.com), was launched in 2011 and continues to grow, offering an interactive forum for the bioanalytical community.
