On Day 5 at the Frankfurt Book Fair, Publishing Technology, a UK-based provider of software and services to the publishing industry, announced the launch of Ingentaconnect Mobile. The tool seeks to provide researchers with an easy and convenient way to access key Ingentaconnect features while they are on the go. Readers can now expect to begin their research on the move and then continue back at their desk when they have to read the article in full. Users will be able to do quick searches over 4.5 million articles, chapters, reports from 13,500 publications, from 255 publishers.
ProQuest unveiled new technologies, including Extended Search which will enable libraries to connect to non-ProQuest content with the company's all-new unified platform. Another technology is Open Web Article Linking, which delivers full-text content for popular magazines at no charge - the feature debuts with TIME magazine.
