Thieme publishes new case-based guide for rhinoplasty surgeons -

STM publisher Thieme Publishing Group, Germany, recently published 'Rhinoplasty: Cases and Techniques.' The publication offers a unique cross-cataloguing feature that is especially helpful for referencing specific deformities and the procedures used to correct them.

Authored by Dr. Michael S. Godin, a Fellowship Director for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the publication presents the expertise of many of the best [rhinoplasty] surgeons in a unique manner. Case studies are presented in a new way - they are cross catalogued by the deficiencies encountered. The reader can efficiently look to the cases that apply to the patient at hand and select the techniques that are suitable.

A scratch-off page in the book provides online access to videos that are referenced to specific topics and demonstrate techniques for executing surgical plans, placing different types of sutures and grafts, and much more. It is projected as an essential resource for all facial plastic surgeons, plastic surgeons, otolaryngologists, residents, and fellows who are preparing for, and performing rhinoplasty.
