Academic publisher De Gruyter, Germany, has announced that two new employees will start work in the publisher's international sales department, effective December 2011. Julie Atkins will take on the role of Senior Sales Manager for Asia-Pacific, while Marcy Rothmann will assist the sales team as Sales Manager for the west coast of North America.
Julie Atkins joins the company from Alexander Street Press, where she was Sales Manager for the UK and the Middle East. Prior to this, she held senior positions in sales for Asia-Pacific and America at Harper Collins and in the sales department at Oxford University Press.
Marcy Rothmann joins De Gruyter from ProQuest, where she successfully sold electronic products in the western USA in her position as Account Executive. She previously worked as a sales representative for Pearson, Thomson, and Lexis Nexis.
