Registration is now open for the Digital Archives Specialist (DAS) courses being offered by ARL and the Society of American Archivists (SAA) at several ARL member libraries in 2014. Registration for these courses are open to all librarians and archivists.
ARL and SAA have designed a weeklong immersion in four core courses of the DAS program for ARL library staff to take alongside their peers. Registration is per course -participants are not required to sign up for the whole week but are offered a package discount if they do. The four courses being offered are: Digital Archives and Libraries; Digital Curation: Creating an Environment for Success; Preserving Digital Archives; and Digital Forensics (two days).
The special weeklong offering of the four DAS courses will be held at Syracuse University: March 10–14; University of Alberta: April 21–25; Emory University: May 19–23; and University of Minnesota: June 9–13.
