STM publishing company SLACK Inc, US, and the International Society of Refractive Surgery (ISRS), a partner of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, have announced that the Journal of Refractive Surgery (JRS) continues to expand its lens-based refractive surgery content to include the latest innovations in cataract surgical technique and advances in intraocular lens design and function.
The official journal of ISRS, the Journal of Refractive Surgery has further enhanced its role as the primary resource for lens-based refractive surgical concepts, techniques, and clinical reports with the recent addition of two Editorial Board members. Dr. Bonnie Henderson and Dr. Mark Packer are specialists in cataract surgery and new technology intraocular lenses.
Dr. Henderson, an internationally-recognised expert in lens-based procedures, has assumed the role of JRS's new associate editor.
The new board members join at an opportune time, as JRS is now publishing an increasing number of lens-based articles, including the recent 'Correction of Astigmatism After Cataract Surgery Using the Light Adjustable Lens: A 1-year Follow-up Pilot Study' by Dr. Alejandro Lichtinger et al, and 'Effect of Femtosecond Laser Cataract Surgery on the Macula' by Dr. Mónika Ecsedy et al.
