The Society for Endocrinology (SfE) and the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE) has announced the forthcoming launch of Endocrine Connections - a new Open Access journal for the biomedical community. The journal is a joint venture between the two societies, to be published by BioScientifica. The journal opens for submissions in March 2012.
Endocrine Connections will be led by Dr Jens Sandahl Christiansen, Professor of Medicine at the University of Aarhus, and consultant in the department of medicine at Aarhus University Hospital. An Editorial board is currently being recruited. The journal will focus on publishing articles that have relevance across the many disciplines that intersect with endocrinology. Its broad scope encompasses metabolism, obesity, diabetes, hormones, reproduction and bone disorders.
BioScientifica, a wholly - owned commercial subsidiary of the Society for Endocrinology, is an international provider of services to medical and scientific societies and to the pharmaceutical industry.
