Academic publisher Cambridge University Press, UK, has announced that it will publish a new Open Access Journal from 2012, on behalf of The Nutrition Society. This new online only publication entitled Journal of Nutritional Science (JNS) will sit alongside the four publications already published on behalf of the society. These include the British Journal of Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, Proceedings of the Nutrition Society and Nutrition Research Reviews.
Journal of Nutritional Science will publish high-quality research articles in all aspects of nutrition. The underlying aim of all work will be to develop nutritional concepts. JNS encompasses the full spectrum of nutritional science including public health nutrition, epidemiology, dietary surveys, nutritional requirements, metabolic studies, body composition, energetics, appetite, obesity, ageing, endocrinology, immunology, neuroscience, microbiology, genetics and molecular and cell biology.
Journal of Nutritional Science will be hosted on Cambridge's cutting-edge platform, Cambridge Journals Online (CJO). All articles will be handled according to the highest standards of peer-review and will be subject to the high production values associated with Cambridge University Press. Articles will be freely available upon publication and will automatically be deposited in PubMed Central on the author's behalf. The Article-Processing Charge will be waived for an initial period.
