Dr. Elias Strangas named editor-in-chief of SAE International Electronics/Electrical Systems Technical journal -

Engineers and technical experts association SAE International, US, has appointed Dr. Elias Strangas as editor-in-chief for its SAE International Journal of Passenger Cars-Electronics and Electrical Systems. He began the three-year volunteer position in January.

Dr. Strangas is an associate professor of mechanical engineering at Michigan State University. His research interests include electromagnetic energy conversion, including numerical methods for the calculation of fields and machine parameters; design of electrical machines, design of electrical drives and drive controllers; control of electrical drives with minimal sensors; fault diagnosis and prognosis of electrical drive systems; drive system reliability; electric and hybrid powertrain analysis.

The SAE International Journal of Passenger Cars - Electronic and Electrical Systems publishes peer reviewed cutting-edge technical papers on the latest developments in the electronics/electrical fields including: intelligent vehicles/ITS, 42-volt technology, vehicle electronics, control systems, telematics, vehicle architecture, 3D modeling, safety research, human modeling and ergonomics. In addition to being identified as some of the best published work at SAE International, these papers as a set have long-term reference to the engineering community and to society at-large.
