Cloud Connect Santa Clara witnesses significant increase in participation -

Cloud Connect, a technology event for cloud computing produced by UBM TechWeb, US, has announced that over 3,700 IT professionals, developers and service providers attended the recent event in Santa Clara. Building on the momentum of this event, the Call for Papers for the upcoming Cloud Connect events in Chicago and Bangalore, India are now open.

Cloud Connect Santa Clara welcomed over 90 exhibitors to the show floor, demonstrating significant growth on the expo side, with an over 20 percent increase from 2011. The show floor is said to have brought together the who's who in cloud computing to showcase the latest tools and technologies, including big news announcements from Citrix and Zynga during the event.

In addition to a successful expo, Cloud Connect Santa Clara featured a programme with customer case studies from the likes of American Airlines and Netflix, new tracks around Mobile and Big Data, a successful first-time programme, Carrier Cloud Forum, hosted by Light Reading and Heavy Reading, and the inaugural CloudNOW Top Women in Cloud Awards luncheon.

The Call for Papers for Cloud Connect Chicago and Bangalore, recent events added to the UBM TechWeb portfolio to spotlight the latest cloud technologies, strategies and innovations in these new markets, are now open.

Cloud Connect Chicago will take place September 10-13, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare and the Call for Papers is now open until April 16. Cloud Connect India will take place May 24-25, 2012 at the Nimhans Convention Centre and the Call for Papers is accepting submissions through February 29.
