STM publisher Elsevier will unveil Miller's Anesthesia, 8th Edition, a comprehensive two-volume medical reference book, at ANESTHESIOLOGY 2014, the American Society of Anesthesiology annual meeting in New Orleans, October 11-15. This go-to reference book provides an in-depth review of technical, scientific and clinical challenges ranging from fundamental principles to advanced subspecialty procedures.
Elsevier will also feature its robust collection of anesthesiology titles at ANESTHESIOLOGY 2014, including seven new editions published this year. Featured books will include Chestnut's Obstetric Anesthesia: Principles and Practice and Non-Operating Room Anesthesia. This expanded new edition of Miller's Anesthesia features 2 volumes and 112 chapters which cover the most current industry topics, including non-OR anesthesia; the role of the anesthesiologist in disasters; sleep medicine in anesthesia; perioperative and anesthesia-related neurotoxicity; anesthetic implications of complementary and alternative medicine; and robotics. New to the 8th edition are chapters on perioperative fluid management, extracorporeal support therapies, anesthesia for organ donation/procurement; and malignant hyperthermia and other genetic disorders.
