Enterprise technology and innovative solutions provider Blackboard Inc, US, has announced details of the Teaching and Learning Conference 2012, one of the largest annual gatherings of leaders from IT and education in the region. The event is expected to draw attendees from 89 institutions and 17 countries to Antwerp, Belgium, from April 23-25 to share ideas and best practices in e-learning. Plantijn Hogeschool, a leading university college, will host the event.
The conference programme includes over 50 client-led sessions on topics including social and student-centered learning, leveraging technology to improve student achievement, mobile initiatives in education, and using data to support the educational mission. The event’s opening keynote will be delivered by Cor Molenaar, a leading CRM and e-commerce strategist and professor at the Rotterdam School of Management.
The conference will also include a special focus on how real-time collaboration tools can improve student engagement and learning outcomes, including presentations from institutions that have successfully leveraged Blackboard Collaborate, the leading Web conferencing, enterprise instant messaging and voice authoring platform built for education.
Blackboard executives will also provide product and company updates in keynote sessions from Ray Henderson, Chief Technology Officer and President of Academic Platforms, and Kayvon Beykpour, General Manager of Blackboard Mobile.
