Publisher Mary Ann Liebert, Inc., US, has announced that a complimentary issue of three journals - Sustainability: The Journal of Record; Environmental Justice; and Ecopsychology – are available online in recognition of Earth Day, April 22, 2012. The journals are said to contain informative, thought-provoking and impactful articles on a range of topics related to preserving and sustaining the globe.
The three journals are said to contribute peer-reviewed research, provocative commentaries and discussions, and feature articles across a broad scope of crucial and controversial topics.
Sustainability: The Journal of Record documents the implementation of sustainability programmes in higher education and business. The journal seeks to provide a forum for academic institutions, the business community, foundations, government agencies and leaders of green-collar endeavours to share and learn about one another’s progress and programmes. It fosters collaborations among all stakeholders for attaining mutually supportive objectives.
Environmental Justice, edited by Dr. Sylvia Hood Washington, encompasses study and debate on a broad range of environmental inequalities at the local, national and global level tied to social, health and economic equity. The journal features studies that demonstrate the adverse effects on populations that are already at risk for health and environmental hazards, as well as the complicated issues inherent in remediation, funding and the relocation of facilities that pose hazardous risk to health.
Ecopsychology, edited by Thomas Joseph Doherty, explores the relationship between environmental issues and mental health and well-being. The journal examines the psychological, spiritual and therapeutic aspects of human-nature relationships, concern about environmental issues, and responsibility for protecting natural places and other species.
