The Frankfurt Book Fair’s all-media platform, Frankfurt StoryDrive recently made its debut appearance in Beijing. The first conference in Asia to explore new forms of collaboration and business models across media boundaries, this two-day event brought together 350 attendees to listen to and meet with games professionals, publishers, agents and film producers to analyse the latest media and entertainment trends, develop new business models, and present their strategies for future success.
The speakers shared their knowledge and provided the tools needed to make the most of business and discover successful crossmedia and transmedia approaches using popular international examples. From east to west, each region has its own challenges and their own way of tackling them. The international publishing executives that spoke and attended exchanged their ideas, visions and solutions for dealing with these struggles in a world where industry boundaries are becoming less and less distinct.
The Frankfurt Academy is expanding its network of experts and programming around the world with Tools of Change Latin America, Children’s Publishing Conference in New York, and StoryDrive China to allow these experts to share their experiences and solutions. Partners of StoryDrive China are China South Publishing & Media Group, Amazon China and BookDao.com as well as Bertelsmann, Ubisoft and MetaDesign.
StoryDrive Frankfurt will take place on October 11 and 12, 2012 during the Frankfurt Book Fair scheduled for October 10 – 14, 2012.
